Concluding the cast list is Murphy Walsh as Kathy!
Murphy has spent much of her adult career in the political space, but discovered a love for acting when she moved to Washington, DC and needed some creativity in her life. She moved home to San Diego last year and has since been seen at Lamplighters, PowPAC, and Trinity Theater. She also enjoys singing, improv, and is trying to get back to playing her (long neglected) saxophone.
Murphy saw her grandmother suffer through Alzheimers, and is now experiencing her mother going through the same. She knows how heart-wrenching it is to mourn who you once knew while they’re still physically with us, and hopes this film highlights the unconditional love and care people have for family.
Introducing John Sousa Jr. as Henry
John attended Compton Community College and has a professional background is in the Drapey and Textile industry. He stared acting in 1990, and has done over 20 feature films and television shows, 12 theater productions, commercials, industrial films, and 18 student films. With just completing 2 feature films, a student film, and a national commercial in the last month.
John has had a few family members who have suffered with Alzhemiers and seen the devastating effects. “That’s why I took on the role of Henry to hopefully show what it does to everyone who suffers from it.”
It’s time to meet the cast!
First, we’re proud to introduce our lead, Jody Catlin, as Eleanor.
Jody Catlin has savored the transformational journey of acting since 1967. She has performed on stage, film, and television, in NYC, the regions, LA, and San Diego with classical and contemporary roles, and in soap operas, commercials, voice-overs, and communications-training encounters with medical professionals. Favorite roles include Roxanne in Cyrano de Bergerac, Roberta in Going to a Place You Already Are, Norma Jean Brando in Porno Starts at Home, Sister Aloysius in Doubt, and the shotgun-totin’ Ma in the film The Count.
Before He Forgets has special meaning for Jody, as she was a caregiver for her parents, including her dad who had Alzheimer’s. Her book, “Sharing the Journey; Becoming a Caregiver for Your Parents,” is available for download at the “Book” page on Jody’s website: www.jodycatlin.com
